Digital X-Rays

For quality of care and your child’s safety, we feature one of the most important technological advances in dentistry, digital radiography (X-rays). A comfortable sensor is utilized and a computer generates an almost instantaneous image. These pictures can be enhanced on the computer for a more thorough evaluation and more accurate diagnosis. Digital X-rays are much safer than conventional X-rays. Digital pictures reduce radiation exposure by up to 90 percent. In addition, digital X-rays help to protect the environment by eliminating chemicals required for the development of conventional X-ray films.

DIAGNOdent Laser Diagnostic Instrument

Among the newest technologies to better serve you and your child is the DIAGNOdent small laser instrument. This unique instrument scans teeth with a safe, comfortable laser light that searches for hidden dental decay. Locating hidden tooth decay before it damages or destroys precious tooth material is a major goal for modern dentistry. X-rays and probing with a dental instrument (explorer) are limited in detecting tooth decay below the tooth surface. The DIAGNOdent laser allows our clinical team to locate hidden decay and stop the spread of the infection before it destroys additional tooth material from within. This new technology is completely safe and pain free. It also helps our clinical team to minimize the extent and cost of dental treatment.

Sterilization
